Euboea is the second-largest island in Greece, its central region is connected to the mainland by Chalkida’s bridge. One thing that stands out in Chalkida among its enduring buildings is its tides. The sea currents in the Evripus Channel continue to change direction every six hours. They form whirlpools according to the phases of the moon. Apart from unwinding and relaxing at the seaside of the settlement, you can stop to learn about the history of Euboea. Start with the Tomb of Eros or the Archaeological Museum. Some beautiful areas around Eretria to explore with a sailboat are Magoula or Amarynthos. Around the southern bay, the island of dreams translated from ‘Nisi ton Oneiron’, has turquoise waters and excellent sceneries.
